Day trips outside Paris
If you like Champagne you can go here in a day either via a bus tour or train, Reims is pretty and good for a day,.
WHICH IS THE BEST BEACH IN ERUOPE?
Just got back from Lake Como and Portofino, swimming the in the med was fantastic, we had a private beach for the hotel Piccolo, lot of rocks but the water was sensational and the boats, it was great watching the lives of the rich and famous!.
Polar bear meets husky in Manitoba, Canada
hehe isn't this the one where they play together? i've seen it on tv before.
Car Hire
haha nice one paul. I've always hired from bayswater car rentals in kings cross. They're not that expensive, have new toyota corolla's and allow you to drop off in brisbane. Be careful though like most places their advertised prices don't include all the extra add on things you'll have to pay for. good luck!.
Weekend in New York | Brazilian Music: So, You Were Maybe E
With restaurants and clubs filled with the sounds of samba and pagode and bossa nova, the city channels Brazil primarily through its music. Read more....
Hotel recommendations - PORT DOUGLAS
I stayed at the Sheriton Mirage with my family which was really lovely... right on the beach but they have like 12 pools or something if you are there during jellyfish season. The breakfast was good value and the golf course was really nice. I have also had a friend stay at Mantra Treetops Resort and Spa and I have heard good things about that as well... have fun!.
Traveling to Thailand?
Phuket has some excellent beaches and some access to great scuba diving - but it is for the most part full of tourists without much "off the beaten path" compared to other areas around Thailand. That is not to say there is nothing to see and some isolated areas that can be found if you are good with a motobike - but Phuket's primary purpose is tourism and many would say over the top developed tourism..
Dean's Blue Hole
Wow! nice picture. I was not expecting it to be that close to the coast. And by the way I had never heard of this one before....
Great Place to Stay in Colorado!!
..one would hope that hotel rooms come completely furnished. Particularly in an upscale chain you were plugging there. Enthusiastic unsolicited reccommendations are treated as advertising here...whether its for the hotel or the fabulous site you found it on. Please read the guidelines on advertising. It should explain why each of your posts raving about the/your web site have been removed..
A great place to stay, Argentina.
yeah, you should have stuck with your instinct. :) Unsolicited rave reviews are treated like advertisements..
Caribbean accommodation
One of the cheapest places for such vacations is the island of Dominican Republic, where you can find cheap villas for about $150.00 per day, or bigger ones for about $700 per week. Golden Key Management in the DR town of Sosua has some options and while they list the high end ones, they also have unlisted properties, some beach front at a better price. Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete are nice places to do snorkeling, golfing, fishing, discos and much more. Find GKM at goldenkeymanagement, com and ask for the good cheap rental deals..
hi
Welcome Welcomen Bienvenidos Hoshgeldin.

Though just a short ferry hop from Vancouver, the 50-mile stretch of craggy forest and marine parks that make up this coast feels far away from the city?s action.

Cultured Traveler | Spain: A Poet?s Realm of Myth and Reality
The high central plateau of Soria was both home and a kind of mythical dreamtime realm for Antonio Machado, one of the great lyric poets of the 20th century.

This is not the tourist Africa of upscale game parks and locals decked out in quaint native dress, but a land of stark beauty and riveting contradictions.

Events in Connecticut, Paris and Vienna are worth getting on a plane for.

Letters: Letter: Taking a Break in Denver
To the Editor: Regarding ?36 Hours: Denver? (Aug. 10), there are two places we always visit when we are in Denver. Watercourse (www.watercoursefoods.com) at 837 East 17th Avenue serves excellent vegetarian meals. I also suggest the Denver Public Library?s coffee shop for a good coffee and cookie break. You can pick up a gently used book for a small donation.

Letters: Letter: Taj Mahal Memory
To the Editor: The photo of the Taj Mahal in ?Why We Travel? (July 27) brought back memories. My father served in India from 1942 to 1945 as part of the Army Air Forces. He always carried a camera with him, and while stationed in Agra, he took a photograph of the Taj Mahal by moonlight. I?m looking at his photo while writing this letter. Amazingly, the viewpoint for both photos as well as the condition of the Taj appear to be almost exactly the same.

Letters: Letter: Jewish Kosice
To the Editor: Visitors to Kosice, Slovakia ("Once Soviet Gray, Now a Colorful Mix," Aug. 10), with Jewish roots may be interested to know that up until 1941 the city (below) had a vibrant Jewish community ? approximately 15 percent of the population were Jews. In 1944, about 12,000 Jews were deported; less than half survived the Nazi concentration camps.
